PRP Microneedling of the Face

What is Microneedling with PRP?

A combination of twelve tiny needles is used rather than one large needle. Each individual microneedle allows a physician to inject plasma rich platelets into the skin with great precision. This also makes it possible to avoid needle scars that are typically left behind by using larger needles. By reducing external damage during injecting, PRP microneedling recovery time is efficiently increased as well. Improving the skin’s external recovery time makes it possible for the body to focus on healing and repairing deep tissue layers.

What is PRP Treatment

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy utilizes a patient’s cells to promote healing and repair. By using autologous cells, patients are less likely to reject the microneedle therapy, which is an optimal result for patients that are interested in a swift recovery. PRP is extracted from each patient at our Beverly Hills Facility and repurposed for injection treatment therapy.

Why choose Microneedling with PRP Treatment

Patients can use PRP therapy for a wide variety of treatments, such as for the facial blemishes. By using microneedles during the process, our trained physicians are able to resurface external skin layers and directly promote the skin’s repair process without adding further cosmetic damage. Microneedling with PRP is a great option for patients who are interested in reducing deep tissue damage due to the depths of each injection. Physicians are able to adequately access these levels without causing the patient severe discomfort or require surgery. Due to this, microneedling is an optimal way to improve wrinkles, age spots, acne scars and stretch marks.

Benefits of PRP Microneedling for the Face

The skin needling process provides patients with a chance to improve their facial blemishes. Patients typically notice a bright, vibrant facial glow and a smoother completion during their PRP treatments. As the microneedle therapy continues over time, the patient’s PRP will continue to heal and repair the underlying layers of skin. This somewhat painless procedure offers patients with a way to undergo cosmetic enhancements without requiring surgery.

Potential PRP side effects

PRP therapy requires a patient’s plasma to be extracted from their body. Due to this process, patients may experience fatigue or lightheadedness. To reduce these symptoms, patients are encouraged to drink plenty of water and consume a healthy meal before each session. The microneedling portion of the therapy gives the skin a red and flushed appearance. Patients may also experience mild swelling, tightness, or slight peeling temporarily. Usually, these symptoms subside within three days.

About PRP treatment offered in office

Patients undergoing PRP treatment at our Beverly Hills Facility typically notice visible improvement within the first month. Depending on the patient’s desired outcome and problem areas, the duration of each PRP therapy treatment will vary. On average, PRP treatments are administered between 4-6 times during a month. Physicians will discuss future PRP therapy options with patients as time goes on to create the best treatment plan if the sessions need to continue beyond this time frame.
